About the Health & Welfare Council
We are concerned with the overall health and welfare of our community and the needs of the people. Our efforts are focused on identifying those needs, coming up with solutions, then implementing them. Results of our efforts include the development of Blair Senior Services, the Blair County Human Services Office, the Blair County Help Directory and the Blair County Healthy Community Partnership. We have assisted individuals transitioning into public housing and promote and support the fundraising efforts of our members. By joining as an organizational member or individual member, you will have a unique opportunity to learn about other organizations in your community and play an active role in coordinating services and resources for those in need. We offer educational programs to keep you abreast of our changing environment, involvement in studies designed to assess the need and available resources and opportunities for grants to support your projects. |
